Three prior packs before you redesign a chart
Why departmental reporting cleanup should begin with the last three submitted packs, not a blank template.
A blank template feels tidy. It also hides the indicators leadership already expects. Before redrawing anything, lay out the last three departmental packs side by side. Circle every number that appeared in all three. Those are your core service delivery metrics until an oversight body says otherwise.
New indicators can wait for an appendix. Clerks update faster when the main plate looks familiar, and directors spot errors sooner when the shape of the pack has not changed overnight.
